First Bit partners with Flick Network, DocFlow and TronStride for e-invoicing release

First Bit will release e-invoicing functionality in its construction-focused ERP software at the end of October 2026, enabling users to submit and track electronic invoices directly from the system. The release comes ahead of the January 1, 2027 mandatory compliance deadline for large businesses in the UAE.

The company has partnered with three Accredited Service Providers for the launch: Flick Network, DocFlow and TronStride. All three providers are officially accredited by the UAE Ministry of Finance and appear on the government's list of 54 approved ASPs as of September 2026. Flick Network holds Accreditation Number 138271, while Cloud Consulting LLC-FZ, which operates DocFlow, is registered under number 181172.

The timing of the release addresses an urgent regulatory requirement. Large businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by October 30, 2026, just days before First Bit's planned software release. Mandatory e-invoicing for these companies goes live on January 1, 2027.

The integration connects the ERP with selected ASPs through API, following the UAE's decentralized 5-corner model that uses the Open Peppol network. Under this architecture, the Ministry of Finance and Federal Tax Authority act as the fifth corner to validate invoices against tax regulations. ASPs serve as mandatory intermediaries responsible for transforming, validating, exchanging and reporting invoice data with the Federal Tax Authority.

Technical requirements and system capabilities

The system will generate and store XML files based on the PINT AE specification, which requires 51 mandatory data fields for electronic standard tax invoices. Under UAE regulations established by Federal Decree-Law No. 16 of 2024, only structured XML invoices transmitted through an ASP qualify as valid tax documents. PDFs, scanned images and paper invoices do not meet compliance standards.

Users will be able to submit e-invoices directly from the invoice screen and monitor their progress without switching systems. The ERP will display status updates from the Federal Tax Authority and other parties involved in the exchange, and will flag validation errors during transmission. XML files will be stored alongside existing financial data, allowing companies to review structured e-invoice records within the ERP environment.

The release supports multiple legal entities within a single database with no limit on the number of entities. Users will retain access to their ASP's portal for reconciliation and complex cases that require additional handling.

First Bit selected its ASP partners based on global experience, company profile, data storage and security considerations. The company said integration with other ASPs may be possible, subject to individual assessment of technical feasibility and implementation timeline.

Regulatory framework and penalties

The UAE's mandatory e-invoicing system began its pilot phase on July 1, 2026, with voluntary adoption available for businesses meeting the Federal Tax Authority's technical requirements ahead of the phased mandatory rollout throughout 2027. The legal foundation was established by Federal Decree-Law No. 16 of 2024, which amended the VAT law to formally recognize electronic invoices as valid tax documents from November 1, 2024.

Non-compliance carries financial penalties of up to AED 5,000 per month. Specific penalties include AED 100 per non-compliant document and AED 1,000 for failing to report system failures within two business days.

FirstBit ERP is designed specifically for contractors and construction companies in the UAE, offering modules for project cost control, procurement, BOQ estimation, accounting and VAT compliance. According to the company, the integration removes the need to enter the same invoice information in both the ERP and an ASP portal.

First Bit said it plans to adapt the ERP to future regulatory and technical changes to the UAE's e-invoicing framework as requirements evolve.
