Dubai Basketball reveals new city-themed jerseys ahead of 2026-27 campaign
Dubai Basketball has revealed its new Home and Away jerseys for the upcoming 2026-27 season, launching the 'Made to Belong' concept that celebrates the city and its diverse community at the heart of the club's identity.
Developed in partnership with adidas, the new kits pay tribute to Dubai Basketball's deep connection with its home city. The designs draw inspiration from Dubai's multicultural character, reflecting a metropolis shaped by people from around the world who bring together different cultures, backgrounds and stories under one shared home.
Design inspiration from Dubai's skyline
The Home jersey features Dubai's recognizable skyline prominently integrated into the side of the design, serving as a distinctive homage to the team's base. Whether competing domestically or abroad, the skyline acts as a constant reminder of the city that defines the team's identity.
The Away jersey extends that sense of belonging beyond city limits. As Dubai Basketball competes across Europe in their second EuroLeague campaign, the design represents the team carrying a piece of Dubai into every arena they visit.
Championship success in record time
Founded in 2023, Dubai Basketball achieved a remarkable milestone in only their second year of existence when they became the first Asian team to win the ABA League championship. The club defeated Partizan 83-81 in Game 4 of the finals on June 12, 2026, completing a 3-1 series victory in Belgrade. Their dominant championship campaign featured 29 wins from 33 games and an unbeaten home record at Coca-Cola Arena, the 17,000-capacity venue that has become their fortress.
The 'Made to Belong' philosophy reflects the parallel stories of Dubai and Dubai Basketball: a city built by people from everywhere and a team composed of players from across the globe who unite to represent one city and one nation.
Looking ahead to the 2026-27 season
The new jerseys will be worn throughout Dubai Basketball's third season as they compete in both the ABA League and EuroLeague. In their debut 2025-26 EuroLeague season, the team finished 11th with a 19-19 record, falling just one position short of the play-in spots. The club now returns to Europe's premier club competition with 20 teams competing across 38 regular-season rounds in a home-and-away format.
Fans will see the new kits in action for the first time at the inaugural EuroLeague SuperCup in Abu Dhabi on September 18 and 19 at Etihad Arena. The tournament features a Final Four format with Dubai Basketball competing against Olympiacos Piraeus, Fenerbahce Istanbul, and Real Madrid for the chance to become the first-ever SuperCup champions.
The new season begins in earnest on September 24, 2026, when Dubai Basketball hosts Real Madrid at Coca-Cola Arena in their EuroLeague season opener, just six days after potentially facing the same Spanish giants at the SuperCup in Abu Dhabi.
Supporters can purchase the new jerseys now and celebrate the opening home game on September 24 at Coca-Cola Arena. Tickets are available at coca-cola-arena.com.
