SB Girls to perform one major UAE concert in Abu Dhabi, Dubai show to be announced
The SexBomb Girls, also known as SB Girls, have consolidated their UAE reunion tour into a single major concert at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on August 8, with plans for a Dubai show to be revealed during the performance itself.
ProXperts and Luxurist CBM House Events, the producers behind the 'Get Get Aw' tour, confirmed that the previously announced two-city format has been restructured to bring fans from across the Emirates together for one large-scale event. The Dubai leg remains part of the tour, but its specifics will be disclosed by the performers on stage in Abu Dhabi.
The decision reflects an effort to create what organisers describe as a unified celebration for the group's devoted following. Formed by dance guru Joy Cancio in 1999, the SexBomb Girls rose to prominence as dancers on the noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! and went on to become the best-selling girl group in Asia during the 2000s, prior to the rise of K-pop, with over 12 million sales across albums and singles.
In 2007, the group was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Box Office Entertainment Awards after winning the Most Popular Dance Group category five consecutive times. Their cultural impact extended beyond music, including a drama series, Daisy Siete, which ran for 26 seasons over seven years. The tour takes its name from the iconic 'Get Get Aww' chant that became synonymous with the group's energetic performances during their peak in the early 2000s.
Venue and ticket arrangements
The Abu Dhabi concert will take place at Etihad Arena, the Middle East's largest multi-purpose indoor venue. Opened in January 2021, the arena holds up to 18,000 people and was recognised with the Sustainable Building Design of the Year award at the MENA Green Building Awards in 2018.
Fans who purchased tickets for the originally scheduled August 9 show at Dubai World Trade Centre will receive complimentary seating upgrades for the Abu Dhabi event. VIP ticket holders will also receive enhanced access, including an exclusive meet-and-greet with the group after the performance.
ProXperts has sent personalised email notifications to all affected ticket holders, outlining the updated arrangements and the benefits included with their upgraded seats.
Filipino entertainment in the UAE
The concert arrives amid growing demand for Filipino entertainment in the Emirates. As of 2026, approximately 780,000 Filipinos live in the UAE, representing 6.8 percent of the total population, with around 450,000 residing in Dubai alone. Recent months have seen a steady stream of Filipino musical acts touring the region, including TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan, who brought their show to Dubai following a four-night sold-out run in the Philippines.
Organisers have framed the August 8 event as more than a standard concert, describing it as a celebration of the community that has supported the group across decades. By the end of the evening, fans will not only experience the performance but also learn what comes next for the Dubai stop on the tour.
