XYRA Launches AI Accounting Platform for UAE Businesses Ahead of E-Invoicing Rollout
Dubai-based XYRA has launched an AI accounting platform that combines bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll and inventory management for UAE businesses. The company says XYRA Books, its flagship module, is designed to simplify tax compliance and e-invoice management as the country approaches its phased mandatory e-invoicing rollout.

Accounting tools in a single system
XYRA AI officially launched the accounting and finance platform on May 16, 2026, with XYRA Books as its production-ready flagship module. At launch, the Dubai-headquartered fintech said it was already operating in the UAE and planned to expand across the GCC.
Powered by Microsoft, the platform serves startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, and accounting professionals. XYRA says it brings together work often spread across separate tools and spreadsheets, including daily operations, VAT and UAE corporate tax compliance. Automating routine tasks is intended to reduce administrative costs while giving owners real-time revenue and cash-flow information and records ready for audits.
Founder and CEO Selvam described the aim: "Business owners should focus on scaling their vision, not drowning in manual administrative work."
The company's launch materials describe a self-learning neural AI engine that categorizes bookkeeping entries and reconciles accounts in real time. XYRA claims 99.9% accuracy in extracting information from documents, along with bank-grade security, end-to-end encryption and round-the-clock fraud monitoring.
UAE e-invoicing deadlines and penalties
Mandatory e-invoicing begins January 1, 2027, for businesses with annual revenue of at least AED 50 million. Businesses below that threshold must implement it from July 1, 2027, followed by government entities on October 1, 2027.
For the largest businesses, the Ministry of Finance moved the deadline to appoint an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) from July 31 to October 30, 2026. Their January 1, 2027, implementation date remains unchanged.
Cabinet Decision No. 106 of 2025 establishes administrative penalties that apply from each group's mandatory date. Failure to appoint an ASP or implement the system carries a penalty of AED 5,000 for each month of delay. Late transmission of an invoice or credit note costs AED 100 per document, subject to a monthly cap of AED 5,000.
The decision also sets a penalty of AED 1,000 per day for late notification of a system failure or delayed data updates.
Company-reported adoption and security
XYRA said more than 2,000 businesses had registered before the platform's public launch. It also cited Nexus Logistics Dubai as an early adopter that cut its monthly financial close from ten days to four hours.
On its website, XYRA now says more than 4,500 UAE businesses trust the platform. The site states that data is encrypted and hosted within the UAE, and lists ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for information security and ISO 22301:2019 certification for business continuity.
Dubai AI Festival showcase
XYRA plans to present its AI accounting solutions at the Dubai AI Festival on October 26 and 27, 2026. The festival's third edition will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme "Where Intelligence Meets Opportunity."
Organizers expect participants from more than 100 countries, more than 150 speakers, 500 investors and 200 exhibitors. Dubai AI Campus at DIFC is organizing the event with the Office of the UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications.
