Independence

HorizonPost's coverage is independent. We report news on the basis of its news value, not on the basis of who is involved or what commercial interests are at stake.

Conflicts of interest

Journalists declare any personal interest in the subjects they cover. Confirmed conflicts result in reassignment.

Gifts and hospitality

We do not accept gifts or hospitality from sources, companies or government entities we cover. Press trips funded by third parties are disclosed.

Protecting sources

Confidential sources are protected without exception.

Court and legal coverage

We observe the presumption of innocence and are precise in distinguishing between charges, allegations and convictions. We follow UAE court reporting standards.
