Saudi expansion and real estate funds

The appointment supports SICO Capital's plans to expand in Saudi Arabia. CEO Wissam Haddad said investing in Saudi professionals and leaders remains central to the company's client service and business growth.

The firm's FY2025 Board of Directors' Report outlined plans to expand its private real estate fund holdings and recruit additional industry experts for its property investment group. During 2025, SICO Capital introduced four real estate investment products in partnership with strategic market participants.

At the time of the report, the real estate department oversaw six specialized real estate funds and one venture capital fund. Its investment strategy targeted long-term capital appreciation and rental income, alongside geographic expansion.

Alzunaytan said he wants to strengthen ties with investors and partners, pursue opportunities in Saudi real estate, and work with the team on structured investment solutions designed to deliver sustainable, long-term value to clients.

Experience across Saudi investment firms

Alzunaytan has worked in Saudi real estate investment, fund management, and property development for more than a decade. His previous positions include acting CEO and head of investments and funds at Alaqtar Real Estate Development Company.

SICO Capital's November 2, 2026, appointment announcement also lists earlier investment and fund management positions at Al Rajhi Capital, BLOMINVEST Saudi Arabia, and Tharwat for Financial Securities.

According to the announcement, he earned an MBA at the University of Toledo and a bachelor's degree in finance at King Saud University.

Company scale and ownership

Based in Riyadh and licensed by the Saudi Capital Market Authority, SICO Capital provides asset management, brokerage, investment banking, and fund services. Its FY2025 Board of Directors' Report put assets under management at SAR 6.5 billion as of December 31, 2025, spanning mutual funds and discretionary portfolios.

The report identifies Bahrain's SICO BSC (c) as SICO Capital's sole owner. The parent is a regional asset manager, broker, and investment bank with more than USD 8 billion under management.

The FY2025 report also recorded regulatory approval from the Saudi Capital Market Authority for an increase in SICO Capital's paid-up capital to SAR 100 million from SAR 60 million.
