Dubai Basketball unveils Red Bull partnership with dunk 303 meters above the city
Red Bull will be Dubai Basketball's Official Energy Drink Partner for the 2026-27 season, an agreement announced with a rooftop alley-oop billed as the world's highest-altitude basketball dunk.

A rooftop launch
Dzanan Musa set up teammate Justin Anderson for the dunk on the helipad of Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, in Al Wasl Tower. The players performed 303 meters above the city, before 600 illuminated drones closed the event by arranging themselves into the two brands' logos.
The launch marks another UAE sports agreement for Red Bull. TRIX20's 2026-27 UAE Pro League sponsor list identifies the brand as the ADNOC Pro League's official energy drink sponsor and Al Ain's strategic football partner for training and youth development.
Plans for fans and community basketball
The basketball agreement covers Red Bull's presence at games and in training settings, alongside joint work on content and communications. Plans for the season also include community basketball spaces, fan activities and digital initiatives, with interactive voting and content available through both partners' platforms.
Dubai Basketball president Dejan Kamenjašević said the organizations shared an interest in testing boundaries and giving fans memorable experiences. "This partnership gives us the opportunity to bring that energy directly to our fans and the wider community, creating new ways for people to experience basketball and be part of what we are building in Dubai," he said.
Both partners described attracting more people to basketball, inside the arena and beyond it, as a focus of the collaboration.
A third season after a first title
Dubai Basketball is entering its third season, representing Dubai and the UAE in the EuroLeague and ABA League. Founded in 2023, the club joined the EuroLeague in 2025 under a five-year license and plays at Dubai's 17,000-seat Coca-Cola Arena, according to Wikipedia.
Its first EuroLeague campaign ended in 11th place in 2025-26, one spot short of the play-in positions, The National reported. Dubai then claimed its first trophy by defeating Partizan Belgrade 3-1 in the ABA League finals. According to Khaleej Times, the 2025-26 championship made Dubai the first team from Asia to win the competition.
For 2026-27, the club hired Xavi Pascual as head coach on a deal through 2029. The appointment was announced on July 14, 2026, The National reported. Pascual previously coached Barcelona to the 2010 EuroLeague title.
The ABA League reported that Dubai retained most of its championship-winning core while adding Tornike Shengelia, Thomas Walkup, Élie Okobo, Jaron Blossomgame, Mamadi Diakite and Davion Mintz for the new season.
