Convoys prepared in Al Arish

The latest shipments carried 260 metric tons of food. The UAE describes the deliveries as part of its effort to provide regular humanitarian assistance, ease suffering and address Palestinians' urgent needs.

The UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre in Al Arish, Egypt, handles preparations for the convoys. The operation's team receives and sorts supplies there, then prepares them for dispatch to Gaza.

Aid by land, sea and air

Launched on November 5, 2023, at the direction of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Operation Gallant Knight 3 marked 1,000 consecutive days of relief work for Palestinians in Gaza on August 2, 2026.

At that milestone, the UAE reported providing more than $3.89 billion in humanitarian assistance to Gaza, including over 126,000 metric tons of relief supplies, medical aid and food, according to Gulf News reports citing WAM.

Air deliveries have also reached places inaccessible by land. By the August 2 milestone, the operation's "Birds of Goodness" initiative had completed 81 airdrop missions, delivering more than 4,000 metric tons of humanitarian supplies.

A September 29, 2026, update put UAE aid deliveries at more than 130,000 metric tons, or about 46% of all international humanitarian assistance delivered to Gaza. That report listed 792 aircraft, more than 14,000 trucks and 25 ships used to transport the aid.

Medical care and water supplies

The operation also provides medical services through the UAE field hospital in Gaza, its affiliated medical centers and the UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish. Those facilities had treated more than 230,000 patients by August 2, 2026, according to the report marking the operation's 1,000th day.

That report also described "Step of Hope," an initiative within the operation that makes and fits prosthetic limbs and offers rehabilitation to amputees in Gaza.

The September 29 update separately reported that around 192,000 people had received treatment. It also said the UAE had provided 640,000 polio vaccines and built six desalination plants in Gaza with a combined output of two million gallons of water a day.

By September 29, the UAE had hosted about 3,000 injured children, cancer patients and their companions in the Humanitarian City. The update put the total cost of the humanitarian efforts at more than $4 billion.
